Shaundra B Simmons

Shaundra would want to you to remember her giving spirit and her love of people.  Shaundra enjoyed helping others.    Shaundra was always full of life; always ready to perform an antic, tell a funny joke, and tell a story just to make people laugh.  She had the kind of personality that made her a joy to be around.  She had a great sense of humor; her infectious laugh could bring a smile to anyone’s face.  Shaundra reunited in Heaven with her parents, Edward and Elouise Barnes, April 27, 2015.

Shaundra spent the last year of her life surrounded by family, friends, Sorority Sisters and coworkers who made sure her last days were filled with joy and laughter.

Shaundra leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 31 years, Bertrand Lloyd Simmons; one daughter, Lauren Ashley Simmons-Mitchell (James) and one son, Bertrand Lance Simmons; grandchildren, James J. Mitchell, Jr. and Sidney Ashley Mitchell; siblings, James Earl Barnes, Billie Issac, and GlennComeaux; nephews/nieces, Michelle Barnes, Kevin Barnes, Cherita Isaac Archie, Twyla Isaac, Katrina Isaac, Sheldon Issac, Aricka Issac, Winfred A.Simmons II, Denise M. Simmons, and Alan R. Simmons (Kenya).  Special cousins; Muhammad Abdullah and Barbara Brooks.  A host of cousins and friends.   Shaundra Arlevia Barnes Simmons entered eternal rest on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 3:45AM.
